„We are producing non-sterile medical face masks with a particle filtration efficiency of 98%”, says Anjan Mohanty from EPIC DESIGNERS LTD. The production is done at the company’s facility in Hawassa Industrial Park in Ethiopia where EPIC DESIGNERS installed a production capacity of over 5 million units per month. “In order to avoid contamination risks, the face masks are manufactured with completely automated assembly lines in a clean room facility adhering to class 100,000 certification. Our masks are certified according to EN 14683 and ASTM 2100.”
There are no export restrictions on medical care or PPE from Ethiopia to any other country. “Prices vary, depending on order quantities.” As to a minimum order quantity of 100,000 units, he indicates a price of ca. 0,30 $ per mask.
